The Northern Advocate Drowning

The Northern Advocate Drowning

A man found drowning and clinging onto a lifejacket on the end of Whangarei Harbour.  Northland police spokeswoman Sarah Kennett said a member of the public saw a lifejacket in the water and took a closer look.
The three safety tips are
1. wear bright clothes so the person trying to find you knows where you are
2.Always have your phone so you can contact that person
3. Tell someone where you are going so it can be easier for that person to find you.

Tagul Word Cloud

This is my word cloud that I did on Tagul. We had to find out words from our culture and put them into a word cloud. We had to think about our culture, river, mountain and family.  I am proud of who I am and this word cloud has become the background for my reflective silhoutte portrait.

Duffy Script T1 W2

Duffy Script

Hi my name is Duffy

I would like to invite the escorts Joel and Sakina from room 1 to come and choose 6 caught using CARE awards.

Congratulations to..

I have read this book and I think the senior students will like it too.

Its about:
A hobbit who lives in a hole underground. Not a nasty old dirty hole with worms sticking out the walls. A pleasant clean and fresh smell. This hobbits family has never been on adventures but this little hobbit really wants to go on an adventure to see new things and to experience new things.

Senior students are able to find this book in the fiction section of the school library. It is filed under TOL because it is the first three letters of the authors last name.

Thanks for listening.

And remember it’s cool to read

Letter to Term four Me

Dear Term Four John,

I hope you have had an awesome year. When you have seen this you would have finished school for the year and finished year seven. I hope you have achieved your goals. Just keep on thinking good thoughts and keep on saying to yourself quietly that I can do it can do it, read more and FOCUS on your work. Just to remind you your goals were to get a better education, learn more, get higher grades and to focus and concentrate on my work. I hope you have completed all your goals and try to achieve more goals. Try the best you can to achieve these goals. It doesn’t matter if you don’t complete them. But if you try your best and never give up, you should have completed most of your goals.

Try your best and i’ll see you in December.
From Term One John.

This is a letter that i wrote to myself from the future and to know that I have completed all of my goals.

Kiwiana

This is my Kiwiana homework. For this homework piece we had to do something that only New Zealand has and think about what was really close to our family.
