Read Theory

For 20 minutes each day, our class has to read on Read Theory for 20 minutes. The first thing we had to do was read whole text. When we had done that we had to look at the question and think about which one goes best with the passage(story). We had to practise looking back at the text to find the information and then back at the questions to find the best answer. We do this so it can help us with our reading so wen the tests come we will be prepared.

Jackie Robinson

\
This is a DLO that I have made of Jackie Robinson. I have made this DLO about him because I think he is a hero. He was the first African American to join the major league in baseball.

Fantastic Facts

This is a DLO that I had created called the Fantastic Facts Challenge. We had to choose our own topic and find out about that topic.

Hover Bike

This is another DLO that Tai and I created. This task was set by Mrs Anderson to see how adverts can easy hook you into buying their product.

Olympic Logo

This is the logo that Tai and I created. We had to create a logo as if New Zealand was hosting the Olympics this year. We put two silver ferns, New Zealand, the Olympic rings and the outline of New Zealand.

Bias

In reading this week our group has been learning about Bias and what it means. We learnt that bias means only giving one persons point of view, or side of an argument. For example: Music Judges only judged people on their genders not on their ability to play. For some reason they mainly chose male musicians. But now days they do blind auditions so they dont know who is playing or what gender they are.
