My scary fall!!
By John
I felt really happy because it was sooo cool and it was my first time ever. When I fell off a flying fox and jumped into the water. My legs were shaking and when I looked back there were no people there. I was the only one because I was last and everyone else had already been. When I jumped into the water it was really cold as if I was in Antarctica. I felt really cold. It was nearly lunch time and I could smell lunch cooking when I was jumping off the flying fox.
I was so cold that I hopped out of the water I jumped straight into the blanket. I felt AWESOME! I was the only brave one to go more than five times because the water was getting warmer and warmer every time I went in from the flying fox. After I had lunch I went back in the water it felt as if I was frozen in a block of ice for more than five hundred years or more. I was stoked about my day because it was really AWESOME!
I went to Whangarei to see my dad’s dad because he was feeling sick. My dad thought it would be a good idea to take us on a trip to my papa’s favourite beach and jump off the flying fox. My dad said he had done it before. “For the first person who jumps off the flying fox you can get the first pick of what you want when we go to the shop” my dad shouted. So my brother and I raced to the flying fox as my dad was eating. The first one to the top was me because I took a shortcut and my brother took the longest way possible. As I went down my legs were sore because of all that running. When I jumped in the water I couldn’t swim because my legs were still sore. My legs felt as stiff as a statue. My dad had to jump in and get me out. I was so cold and it was the most fun I had in years. My dad was going and he was not a tiny bit scared because he had done it when he was a kid. My dad was finished and so were we. We had the most fun we had had in weeks even months. My mum was worried about us because we had been up in Whangarei for a while. When we were driving back to my papa’s house we saw the police. They had their sirens on. ‘’Where are we going now dad’’ Puke said. My dad was too busy listening to music so he couldn’t hear what he was saying. Puke shouted it and my dad said ‘’be quiet.” We were so tired then my dad saw the ice cream shop and he had $20. He bought all of us an ice cream. I felt so cold. My dad was there and I said that I didn’t want an ice cream but I had to eat it. I was so chilled. My mum rang every night to see if we were OK. Puke was already sleeping. While he was sleeping we were watching movies. We had popcorn and we celebrated my papa’s birthday. We had celebrated his 65th birthday. That was a few holidays ago. I was so pleased to go down with my dad and Puke.
